Homemade #Burger

Dear friends,

There is fast food, and there is home food made fast.

We cannot miss on a everyone’s favorite a tasty and juicy burger with crispy fries.

At this point we have two options, either drive to the nearest fast food and pick one of the choices on the menu, or just make it at home. Our way.

We opted for option number two, making everything from scratch, from the bun to the burger to the fries. The result a soft yet crispy on top whole grain bun, a juicy burger made of 100% ground pork seasoned to perfection with paprika, cayenne pepper, onions, ketchup, and a dash of shiracha sauce.
Topped with diced Asiago cheese and crisp romaine lettuce, and of course a generous dollop of organic mayonnaise. The fries freshly cut, seasoned to perfection and baked until golden and crispy.

Quick bite @Smashburger

Dear friends,

We were in the mood for a burger today! We wanted something quick, but we did not want to settle for something already on the menu, so we decided to try Smashburger at their Gateway Mall location in Brooklyn.

The shop is really cozy and there are few interesting option especially if you decide to go with the “Create your own” option, were you can choose your meat, your bun, sauces, cheeses and so forth.

We had a beef large burger, in a pretzel bun with pepperjack cheese, mayo and guacamole and a chicken burger served in a chipotle bun with fresh avocado, cheese and the house sauce called Smashsauce. Both burgers served with fries, one of the two were seasoned with herbs and olive oil, quite interesting. A good and yet quick dining experience, we reccomend you’ll give them a try if you happen to be in that area of BK.

Interesting Gourmet  #Burger in #Salerno

On a rainy Monday night, we planned to go out with friends and try this spot located in Salerno city center, after reading a few reviews buzzing about their gourmet burgers. The location was quite cozy and also surprisingly busy on a Monday night, which is a natural sign that they are doing things right.

The menu offers an endless variety of combinations to satisfy everyone’s taste. There is in fact the possibility of choosing different kinds of buns (we opted for  all-wheat and black, made with grano saraceno) a wide range of patties including black angus, pork, the famous juicy lucy, chicken, and a vegitarian option. The possibility of customization goes way further with different choices of toppings, cheeses, sauces, and side orders. The choices of drinks is also wide, we tried an artisan lager and we don’t regret our pick. We would recommend you pay these guys a visit next time you’re in Salerno, Italy. Tuna #Burger? Why not!

Tuna is good, fresh and delicious but can be boring sometimes. Burgers are an all time favorite but you cannot eat meat for dinner every night of the week, so why not combine the two and come up with an interesting mid-week dinner fix. Tuna burger with french beans, red onions and sun-dried tomato, all topped up with a generous dollop of home-made mayo in a soft sesame bun.

The tuna fillet steamed to perfection then seasoned with extra virgin olive oil, chilli flakes and rock salt, topped up with some organic french beans steamed and seasoned with e.v.o.o and garlic, finishing off the sandwich with some flavorful sun-dried tomato.

We paired our tuna sandwich with a generous glass of Greco di Tufo DOCG, a widely available crisp and fresh grape variety from the Campania region in Southern Italy.

Enjoy!

The Ultimate Homemade #Burger!

Who doesn’t like burgers? Well, we do. A lot!

Tonight’s meal was a super-charged pork burger with eggplant chips and crunchy strips of organic bacon. The patties have been prepared with organic mince pork made of both lean and marble cuts, adobo, chilli flakes, black pepper, rock salt, and brushed with fresh garlic flavor extra virgin olive oil. The eggplants were cut into round slices, seasoned with rock salt, and black pepper, brushed with garlic e.v.o.o and baked until crispy. The bacon strips have been crisped up under the broiler until crunchy and delicious.

We have assembled this delicious combo of flavor with fresh onions, a salad mix made of lettuce and arugula and a dollop of organic mayo. Just perfect!

We paired this with a glass of white wine, and we’ve choosen an Asprinio Di Aversa Vite Maritata DOC, an interesting white from the Campania region made from a grape that can only be found in the area identified as the “Agro Aversano” in the Caserta province. This superb wine deserve a post by itself which will follow shortly, so keep following us on our main blog bareginger.com and don’t forget our social pages and our articles featured on the Blogher platform.
